Update on client with Ankylosing Spondylitis

Postby Michael Jen on Sat Feb 16, 2008 7:27 pm

On the home page, there is a testimonial by a client, Karl, with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). Let me mention that there is no known cause or cure for AS by the medical community.

A few months after Karl wrote the testimonial, Karl slowly decreased the medication he was taking and then eventually totally stopped the medication that was given to him by his doctor. Keep in mind that he did not ask his doctor's approval in regards to do this. Karl noticed that his pain from AS would decrease dramatically after doing his MBF program, so he stopped taking meds and used his MBF to deal with his issue instead. The first couple days he got off the meds, he felt horrible, like a herion addict going through withdrawl symptoms. However, after a few days, he felt fine. In fact, once he stopped taking the meds, he said he mentally felt much clearer.

With his MBF program, Karl was eventually able to decrease the pain from AS down to zero in many instances. He found that he would feel the discomfort the most when he woke up in the morning, but it would be wiped out after he finished doing his program. Instead of taking his meds twice a day, he now does his MBF program twice a day. He went from crippling pain and being loaded up with drugs to no drugs and having little to no pain.

Several years ago, before Karl encountered MBF, his doctor took an x-ray of his spine and pelvic. On the x-ray, it showed inflamation on the bones of this spine and pelvis. The pieces of the pelvis also didn't looked defined and clear. Just the other day, he went to see his doctor and an x-ray was taken. The x-ray showed no inflamation and each vertabrae and the pelvis looked perfect. All the pieces of the pevlis looked clear and defined. The doctor said that by looking at the x-ray, he would never think that Karl had AS. He is not completely free of his symptoms, as he gets occasional flare ups, but he has come a long way for someone who has an incurable disease.

Karl also took blood and urine tests and all the tests turned out normal. His doctor also consulted 2 other rheumatologists and the concensus amongst all the doctors is that he no longer has AS. So technically, he no longer has AS, though still has feelings of discomfort that were synonymous with the disease (only when he wakes up in the morning and then his MBF program clears it out). The oddest thing was that Karl had AS for 12 years and now his tests say he doesn't have it, yet the doctors never even asked Karl what he has been doing to deal with the disease.
