Cramp

Postby Pamelaann on Fri Mar 07, 2008 8:33 pm

Does anyone know anything about cramp?

I have never been prone to cramp before, but since returning from 6 weeks in India in January this year I've had cramp quite a few times, never bad and not a real problem as I can deal with it, but it would be great to know if anyone has any tips to deal with it.

I had one really bad cramp in the sea whilst I was in India, but I am not sure how related the current cramps are as I get cramp in different places in the feet and calves.

Cramps are result of muscular imbalances. If you look at young children, they never cramp.

They do, my brother used to get cramp badly in bed, and I've known quite a few other children that do as well.

They call it growing pains, but its cramp.

I am not sure it can be just muscular imbalances......................most of the population would suffer would'nt they?

How old was your brother? I've never seen a 3 or 4 year old get cramps.

Most of the population do get cramps. That's why they feel the need to stretch and warm up before exercise.
